Next Meeting:  at the Overlake Round Table Pizza Restaurant

Tuesday, September 22nd, 7:00pm

September Meeting:  With more Salmon showing up in the local rivers, Roger Anderson and Jim Grimes will share their knowledge and techniques on where and how to fill some spots on your catch report card.  If time allows, we can also open up a discussion from the rest of the members on what and where works for them.

September Outings:  Two outings were scheduled for Humpies; one mid-week (Sept 9th) and one on Saturday (Sept 12th).   On the first date, the river was basically blown out.  As of press time I had not received any other reports.  Hopefully, we will get some positive reports at the meeting.

Upcoming Outings:  As a prelude to Roger's and Jim’s presentations, we will discuss the dates and locations for Silver and Chum outings.

Summer Picnic:  Ernie Anderson has reserved the Red Barn for next summer’s picnic.  Again it will be on our regular meeting night, the forth Tuesday of the month.  Go ahead and mark next year’s calendar for our picnic on July 27th.  Last month I failed to mention thanks to Rick Michael and Harry Dalhner for providing appetizers to get the juices going before the dinner began.

Annual Service and Tackle Auction:  It's only one more month before our Annual Service and Tackle Auction.  Start looking for items you no longer treasure.  One man's junk could be another's treasure.  Of course you are not limited to junk.  Any item that you think will fuel bidding activity is encouraged to be donated to the auction.  Fishing trips and other services are also welcome and generally produce the higher bids.

Annual Christmas Banquet:  Be sure to mark your calendars for Monday, December 7th to join us at the Fall City Grill for our annual Christmas banquet and raffle.  More details in the next few months. It was suggested that we discuss qualifications necessary to attend the function.  The Board would like to get the opinions of the members before putting on any limits.

Elections are coming:  November is when we will have our elections for the 2010 Club Officers.  Be thinking of who you would like to see leading the Club.

Bring a Guest:  Remember that all guests receive a free raffle ticket.  Last month, Ernie’s guest, Rick Olson, matched the first ticket drawn for the first prize.  Hopefully, we will see him more often as a member.

Tid Bits:  Special thanks to Milt Keizer for preparing and distributing July’s newsletter while Tom Nordin was up in Alaska 2½ weeks.
