Next Meeting:  at the Overlake Round Table Pizza Restaurant

Tuesday, November 24th, 7:00pm

November Meeting:  For this month's program we will have Kent from Three Rivers Marine talk to us about fishing for local Steelhead.

Elections Are Here:  November is when we will have our elections for the 2010 Club Officers.  Be thinking of who you would like to see leading the Club.  The board members have been soliciting input to develop a slate of candidates.  Nominations for the 2010 executive slate will be finalized and voted on during the business portion of the meeting.

Grande Ronde "Outing":  It was a fantastic season on the Grande Ronde this year.  With a record run this year, the river was choked full of fish.  Jim Grimes and his friend Pat from Alaska spent a week and a half and were joined by former member Thor Larson and his son Joseph for 2.5 days and Tom Nordin for 3.5 days.  The action was hot.  The five averaged going 10/14 per day per person, although Jim and Pat had the lion's share of those numbers.  Others who joined in the action included George Craig and three of his friends and formers member Greg Burnam and his friend Cary.

December Board Meeting:  In order to prepare for the Christmas Dinner and Raffle, the board meeting will be at Ernie Anderson's place on December 1st.

Annual Christmas Banquet:  Reservations are being taken by Milt Keizer for the annual Eastside Steelheaders Christmas Dinner & Raffle.  Please contact him by E-mail or phone or verbally to order your meal choices. Prime Rib plate is generally around $21 and Chicken Dinner approximately $16 (Kids may be fed from the menu).  Prices include wait staff tips, soft drinks and coffee, with exclusive use of the Fall City Grill (across the Snoqualmie River from Fall City, on the Hwy 203 fork) the evening of MONDAY DECEMBER 7, about 5:00 to closing time.  Alcoholic beverages and desserts may be ordered but are paid for by individuals.  Space will be limited and you won’t want to be left out of this end of the year blow-out.

To contact Milt: mlkeizer@comcast.net or 425-222-4515.

Social Hour is from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, by which time we are seated and the staff begins serving...the raffle of (usually) 100 items starts at the end of the meal.  And, all fishing members should remember to bring a handful of lures to be donated to and hung on or placed under the "door prize tree" which each year is brought by John Dunkel (and is not part of the prize).

Rich Maki, of the Fall City Grill, reminds us of the etched glassware that his brother can supply to the Eastside Steelheaders by our Christmas dinner if we order SOON.  Check with Milt for ordering details.
